Welcome to this week’s Tiller’s Turf Talk! We’ve got exciting updates on the installation of a hybrid tennis court, building on a recent project that received fantastic feedback. After harvesting the turf and delivering it to our partners at Fineturf, we’re already seeing the court in action. With the nets up and some early play underway, the response has been excellent.
Now, we’re onto the next project, and the Fineturf team is back on-site to help with the installation. Preparation is key for this kind of work. The turf is laid on a laser-leveled root zone with a clean backing, ensuring a smooth, seamless surface. The team expertly stretches and stitches the turf rolls together, creating a uniform court ready for the next stage.
The crucial part of this process is the infill, which we apply slowly, brushing regularly to ensure the fibers stand up for maximum durability. We’re using MM50 from DLF, a 100% ryegrass blend known for its resilience, recovery, and disease resistance.
As always, Fineturf has done a fantastic job. We’ll keep you updated as the court develops and is ready for harvest next spring. Stay tuned for more updates, and thanks for following our journey!
